Last year, foldable smartphones became a reality, and Motorola was among the first to offer devices in the new form factor. The smartphone did not become something spectacular and was full of problems. But the company is gearing up to launch its next foldable smartphone, the Motorola Razr 5G.

The well-known resource Winfuture, which by this time already has a good track record of leaks, told everything about the new product and posted high-quality renders. This is again a clamshell smartphone, which is based on the Snapdragon 765G chip and has a flexible POLED-matrix with a diagonal of 6.2 inches with a resolution of 2142×876 pixels and an aspect ratio of 21: 9. They did not forget to offer an auxiliary screen with a resolution of 800×600 pixels with a diagonal of 2.7 inches.

The battery capacity of the Motorola Razr 5G is 2800mAh and there is 15W Turbo Power fast charging. The smartphone includes 8 GB of RAM, 256 GB of storage, a 20-megapixel front lens with f/2.2 aperture and a 48-megapixel main camera with f/1.7 aperture. Among the characteristics of the new device are the USB Type-C port, support for Bluetooth 5.0, NFC and a fingerprint scanner.

The dimensions of the case in the open state were 168.6×72.6×7.9 mm with a weight of 190 grams and there is IPX8 water protection. The Motorola Razr 5G will be delivered with the Android 10 operating system. It is planned to be sold for 1499 euros. It’s not very clear what the company is counting on with such a price tag. The smartphone will compete with the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G, which is only 10 euros more expensive, but boasts a Snapdragon 865 and a 3300 mAh battery.
