I am glad that I am vaccinated. I rather be vaccinated than die from covid. Just had a cousin died from covid and no he wasn’t vaccinated and he was 35 years old. He was 5 years older than me. His wife also died from covid before him. He left behind a 2 year old and a 4 year old.

Cases of breakthrough infections among the vaccinated remain rare. In that event, health experts said, a fully vaccinated person who gets COVID-19 won’t be contagious for very long and may not have the chance to transmit the virus to another person.

A vaccinated person may have the same viral loads as an unvaccinated person, but that high level of virus lasts only three to four days compared with an unvaccinated person who could be contagious for up to 10 days, said Suresh Mittal, professor of virology at Purdue University’s College of Veterinary Medicine.

“Individuals who are vaccinated have a good immune response. If they get in contact with people who are infected, they might get infected, but the majority may not transmit,” he said.

It's even more uncommon for a vaccinated person to transmit the virus to another vaccinated person, though "not impossible," said Dr. Shaun Truelove, assistant scientist at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

"We think it's quite rare that a vaccinated individual is infecting another vaccinated individual," he said. "At this time, we really don’t have sufficient data to quantify what that risk is, but as this resurgence continues to grow with the delta variant ... the number of individuals who are vaccinated and infected from another vaccinated individual will continue to occur and potentially continue to grow, though likely remaining small and rare."

I think I had a mild case of COVID-19 last winter. I was sick for a month. I had a runny nose and a dry hacking cough. My temperature rarely gets above 97.9. sometimes it is as low as 96.5. When I was sick it got up to 99.9. I had a wrenching back ache for a week.

I waited until I was sure I had recovered. Then I took the Johnson and Johnson vaccine. The shot hurt more than a flu shot. The next day I felt mildly ill. The day after I felt fine.

Then I lost my certificate.

Fortunately, my name was in their system. I will get a new certificate today.

Keep your certificate. People are going to be asking for it. Recently I read about a doctor who refused to treat COVID-19 patients who had not been vaccinated. The vaccine does not guarantee you from catching the Corona Virus. It means that if the virus gets into your body your immune system will be ready to fight it.

 

The government can deny any government assistance to those who refuse to get vaccinated. I think it should. I think insurance companies should be allowed to refuse assistance too.

 

Those who insist on their freedom to avoid the vaccine should be free to suffer the consequences.
