All these weird aches and pains I’ve been having. I feel 100 years old.

It gets worse.
Aches and pains?
Beginner level stuff.

When shit gets brittle and starts breaking off, that's second level.

And then when it screeches or squeals or belches foul air, and then just stops, that's third level.

And when you don't know where you are, what's happening, what you're supposed to be doing, or where the voices are coming from, well now you're at level 4 and you are well and truly fucked.

Getting old, you see, is pigeon poop.

 

When people gripe out loud to the TV. I usually say “they can’t hear you”.

 

When someone tells me they are going to do something and they don’t or do but it takes them days to actually do it.

 

While im grateful we have air-conditioning
Putting up with it’s loud noise is the price we pay.

 

When I realize I left my fan on in my bedroom all day while I was at work.

 

I'm kind of OCD about clearing notifications on my phone apps. If I see a red dot on any app, I have to open it to clear it asap. I have a couple of apps that the red dot doesn't go away sometimes for hours even after I check to make sure there is nothing left to do. Ughhhhhhhhh!

It's annoying how elusive true enlightenment can be...

 

I’m waiting for my tv to get delivered today but I don’t know what time, so I’m afraid to get in the shower because I know that’s when they’ll come, and I have to sign for it lol

 

It happens every time

 

The "T" on my laptop keyboard is not working very well, so I keep having o correct all of the missing ones in every post. Ugh!

 

I ordered something 2 months ago and just found out it’s been pushed back agin!

 

I developed an anxiety problem because the last 6 years of my life has been full of one traumatic event after another. Death and more death and then some more death, debilitating back injury, 5 weeks of long covid and my dad had a stroke. Changed jobs 3 times in one year and moved out of my home. And then even more death. I lost my mother, my godfather, my grandfather, my uncle, my two dear friends, my fiancee, and my dog. It sounds like the worst country song ever.

Finally, one day my brain just said, “fuck this,” and now I randomly get anxiety attacks for no reason. I’ll be reading a book or relaxing, and suddenly I get super anxious where I feel such a sense of doom that it takes my breath away. And then Adrenaline will kick in and I feel like I have to fight something. I always feel like I need to be ready to fight. It’s exhausting and physically hard on my body. I fret over my son constantly, that I might lose him too. I worry non stop about the people I love, and my mind is always in “worst case scenario” mode. And lying here now, i have my usual Monday morning anxiety.

But I deal with it and I keep going on. I am lucky to have people around me who love and support me and take care of me.

And here’s my point. I didn’t say all this for sympathy.

I did not bring this all on myself. That’s not how it works. “Anxiety” is a pussy word for what it really is. If you don’t understand it, that’s fine. But don’t fucking act like you do and dismiss it. We all have problems and we are all just trying to do our best.
