It was more the sandbox and stats stuff that caused me to eventually stop playing. It's a shame too because I do like Gemma.

I feel like I might be crazy for this, but for me it's the character models. Daz doesn't really do it for me anymore, every game feels like it's all the same characters with just tiny differences. Every girl here looks quite unique even if a lot of people don't like the aesthetic of it.
Like the LIs are fairly likeable, and the character writing is actually pretty good, but the unique models are what makes the game actually hot for me. I'm not just clicking through the sex scenes to see what happens next.

Yeah. I like that the dev(s) made some effort to create something unique instead of putting the same old cute-but-bland Daz models again, which many devs do without even swapping skins and, even less, doing some morphs to customize them (some even put them with the same hair it's used in the promos).
I also like that it has this tongue-in-cheek spirit and doesn't take itself too seriously. I hate those pseudo-dEeP games with pseudo-sErIoUs stories which are nothing but kitsch...

Fun fact: they even make some of their own custom assets.
But yeah, I agree. I like that we have a lot of "normal" looking body types. Not everything is big ass/big tits.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the town is almost all custom-made, right? And some of the interiors seem to be too, aren't they?

Yeah, almost the entire town is their own assets. Maybe 50% of the props. Some clothing and vehicles, too.
