Tuna salad and crackers. Ooof what a day.

Freshly butchered sausage with onions and spicy brown mustard. Sooooooo damn good!

 

Capellini done cacio e pepe with a grilled and savoury spiced chicken cutlet.



And a great big hunk of homemade focaccia; I’ve been thinking about making that for months now.

Today was really weird and unpleasant. I’m not really home, I guess.

I took the leftover grilled chicken and put it on a sandwich made from the focaccia I baked yesterday.

Chicken, sliced onion, provolone, little mayo, heated. And the rest of the capellini from yesterday on the side.

I've got a bit of a dilemma today. I spent half an hour prepping all the vegetables for pot roast, then the roast itself seemed a little questionable. Not obviously bad, but enough to give me pause. I put it in the crock pot anyway since everything was prepped, but I'm back and forth on whether we should actually eat it tonight. Might be kielbasa and pierogi instead.

Anyway, last night I was out of romano to make more alfredo, so I did a tomato basil cream sauce to put over the leftover penne and chicken.

Two nights in a row we went to order pizza and they weren't accepting orders online. This location is notorious for pizza places going out of business, they average about a year and a half, so we're wondering if this is it for them. I wouldn't be surprised, but I will be disappointed because this was one of the better ones.

So the night before last I fried up kielbasa and pierogi, and last night it was really getting late so I quickly made sausage, scrambled egg, and american cheese muffins.

The pizza place is still in business, just adjusting their hours and closing earlier. Had a hand-tossed pepperoni pizza and meatball calzone last night. They looked really busy when we picked it up, so hopefully they'll be around for awhile.
