The American Pie actress has made a few public appearances in recent months, including at the Los Angeles premiere of Y2K in December 2024. There, she rocked a shimmering gold rockstar-inspired look with matching gold pants, a belt and a top and a black jacket to tie it all together. She also wore a dark, smokey eye look and wore her blonde her completely straight.

Just last month, she also attended the art exhibition "Á GOGO III" at Los Angeles' Pacific Design Center on Feb. 20. Reid wore another black and white look, this time sporting matching black pants and a black top with a white knit sweater. She also rocked a diamond necklace and bright pink nails to give the look a pop of color.

The actress has been candid about the response to her appearance in recent years, after viewers of season 2 of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Testas well as celebs like Billy Bush — criticized her for being "too skinny."

“If we were overweight then they can’t say anything because that’s bullying. But it’s the same thing if you’re skinny. That’s still bullying too,” she said in 2023, speaking to the Los Angeles Inquisitor.

Reid said at the time that her body has been a topic of discussion since the early 2000s, but things became more intense after her appearance on the FOX celebrity reality show.

“I have no anorexia and never have,” she told the Inquisitor. “And I definitely don’t have any bulimia. I’m terrified of throwing up, so that’s not gonna happen. And I love food too much.”

“So anyone that says I’m anorexic or bulimic, they’re wrong,” Reid continued. “So stop it. Leave me alone. Pick on me again on something else, but not on those two things. It’s not right.”

Opening up to PEOPLE about her time on Special Forces back in 2023, Reid said that the experience of filming was “one of the craziest experiences I’ve ever done.

“I’m at a place right now [where] I want to do something like this,” she said about competing in the show, which she did soon after the COVID-19 pandemic and the SAG-AFTRA strike.

“You're home so much in your own house, you get depressed,” she added. “So doing something like this was a great challenge for me and it was an experience I'll never forget and I would never take it back. Even though you watch it, you'll think I'm insane."

“You learn a lot about yourself in the show and other people and your own strength," she continues. "So it's not just a physical thing, it's a mental thing in a lot of ways [but] I'm really happy I did it.”
